i think they are great for stress and for medical use. i think you should spend the time and money because it feels great and usually relieves stress and tension

In my personal situation, I absolutely would pay for massage therapy if I had the money. I have 2 pinched nerves in my shoulders, a slipped disc in the middle, and “unspecified” problems with my lower back muscles as a result of my pregnancy last year. In addition to that, I was diagnosed with arthritis at 18 and suffer from cluster headaches. I used to have a friend who was a massage therapist that worked with me privately and it made a world of difference in all aspects of my life. Unfortunately I moved out of the state a couple of years ago. I miss her dearly……..

YES!! Massage therapy is a wonderful thnig, especially if you can find a good therapist. I have degenrative disc desease and bulging disc in my low back, and bone spurs in my neck. Trust me I have tried everything for pain relief and managment. I DO NOT want to have back surgery. So I go to massage therapy every chance I get and it really does help. Also I have a large yoga ball and just laying over it to stretch out my back. Like the other post said, its about rlaxing your body and allowing time for the muscels to relax. YOU ARE WORTH IT, Make the time to relax and stretch out the muscels. They will thank you for it. Regular adjustments from the chiropractor are worth it too. Also I take fish oil capsules and Glucosamine/chrondroitin, they really help with keeping your joints limber. DRINK LOTS OF WATER TOO. You have to keep your disc and muscels hydrated! :) Good Luck and I hope this helps.
p.s. SWEDISH massage works best for me.

Yes. I get an hour and a half massage every other week. I go to a womens spa for the other weeks using their infrared rooms and saunas. Because ti helps with stress and stress kills.
